We have created an opportunity to purchase wines from some of the most talented and highly regarded winemakers to suit all tastes from the classical though to the contemporary.

39 Wine provides fantastic quality and value from all over the world including countries which you would not usually associate wine- making. Our choice is constantly evolving.

Jon believes strongly that the wine cellar is an integral part of the dining experience at the 39 Steps We use small local suppliers for our food and we try to find the best quality in each area. It is the same for the wine. We are passionate about what we are doing .

Over the past year we have put together a list that now boasts over 150 bins and growing.

Within the list we have created a fine range of spirits and fortified wines to encourage the perfect aperitif which is also extremely useful and daring in food matching our gourmet menus.
Champagnes are from all over the region displaying many well known houses as well as our particular favorite The House of Louis Roederer

The list of white wines is varied and should provide a glimpse of all grape varieties that are produced from all over the world. This enables us to provide a great selection of choice, the opportunity to occasionally challenge and a range of prices that should suit every occasion.

The list of red wines is similarly varied and we have taken time and trouble here to find great growers producing approachable wines at all levels of the market. We do not specialize in huge ranges of grand and premier cru wines, although our fine and rare section is something Jon is particularly proud of. We hope that the quality of the growers and houses we display will never leave you disappointed.
